PluriMate
The PluriMate® was designed to efficiently separate leukocytes and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) from whole blood and bone marrow. Its key feature is a porous sponge placed at the bottom of the centrifuge tube, made from high-grade polyurethane. This sponge eliminates the need for time-consuming and labor-intensive overlaying of sample material. Instead, anticoagulated blood or bone marrow can be poured directly from the blood sampling tube into the PluriMate® tube. The porous barrier ensures that the sample material remains separate from the separation medium during centrifugation. As a result, leucocytes, lymphocytes, and PBMCs are separated from unwanted erythrocytes and granulocytes based on the density gradient used (such as Leuko Spin, Lympho Spin, PLT Spin, etc.), and enriched in an interphase above the separation medium. Once separation is complete, the barrier prevents recontamination of the enriched cell fraction during harvest, accommodating both large and small sample volumes.
