However, they can also be utilized for separating particles based on density, provided the target density is known, a solution with the required density is available, and the gravitational force (g) does not exceed the mechanical tolerance of the separation devices. During centrifugation, leukocytes, lymphocytes, and PBMCs are separated from unwanted erythrocytes and granulocytes, depending on the density gradient media used.
