pluriSelect separation tubes are designed to achieve efficient separation of leukocytes and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) from whole blood and bone marrow. However, they can also be utilized for separating particles based on density, provided the target density is known, a solution with the required density is available, and the gravitational force (g) does not exceed the mechanical tolerance of the separation devices. During centrifugation, leukocytes, lymphocytes, and PBMCs are separated from unwanted erythrocytes and granulocytes, depending on the density gradient media used.
