PluriMate

PluriMate

PluriMate was designed for efficient separation of leukocytes and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) from whole blood and bone marrow. Its main feature is a porous sponge at the bottom of the centrifuge tube, made from high-grade polyurethane. This sponge eliminates the need for time-consuming overlaying of sample material. Anticoagulated blood or bone marrow can be directly poured from the sampling tube into the PluriMate tube, with the porous barrier preventing mixing of the sample material with the separation medium. During centrifugation, leukocytes, lymphocytes, and PBMCs are separated from unwanted erythrocytes and granulocytes, depending on the density gradient used (such as Leuko Spin, Lympho Spin, PLT Spin, etc.). These cells are enriched in an interphase above the separation medium. After separation, the barrier prevents recontamination of the enriched cell fraction during harvest, regardless of the sample volume.
